Laser Genesis

LASER GENESIS It is a non-invasive, non-ablative laser therapy to treat uneven skin tone and texture. The technology is a much evolved form of the earlier photo facial and it benefits all skin types, requiring around 4 to 5 sessions at monthly intervals. Laser genesis uses high-power microsecond pulses at high repetition rates to treat all types of scars, small vessels underneath the skin, open pores and also stimulates collagen, restoring the elasticity of the skin. The results are progressive and consistent and with minimal downtime and discomfort, delivering the results of an ablative laser system.

What Does Laser Genesis Treat?

Laser Genesis is primarily used to treat scarring (caused by acne, surgery, or burns), redness, and broken blood vessels (often a side effect of rosacea). It offers the added benefit of reducing fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, large pores, and age spots. The icing on the cake is the boost of radiance and firmness Laser Genesis gives the skin by stimulating collagen production. Laser Genesis can be used to treat any part of the body; however, it is predominantly used on the face, neck, chest and hands.

How Does Laser Genesis Work?

Laser Genesis is a non-ablative and YAG 1064nm laser used to treat the dermis – the middle layer of skin. In simpler terms, Laser Genesis does not wound the skin. Instead, it works by penetrating the top layer of skin and delivering thousands of micro-pulses of light to the dermis. These micro-pulses heat up the dermis, and the warming action shrinks blood vessels, breaks down scar tissue and stimulates collagen production. Laser Genesis leaves your skin free of scars, broken blood vessels and redness, with the added benefit of naturally increased collagen production.

What Can I Expect The Day of My Treatment?

With Laser Genesis you can expect an easy, pain-free, and surprisingly relaxing hour at the doctor’s office. The treatment area will be cleaned to ensure your skin is free of any lotions or makeup, and eye protection will be placed over your eyes to protect them from the laser. You are now ready to begin Laser Genesis!
During your procedure, an experienced technician will move the Laser Genesis wand over the treatment area, in a continuous and repetitive motion. While the wand is moving over your skin, you may feel a slight warming sensation, but some patients report that this feels like a relaxing massage. After 20-30 minutes, your treatment is complete. Sunscreen will be applied to protect the newly treated skin from the sun. Now you are free to return to your busy schedule, with zero recovery or downtime!

What are the Benefits of Laser Genesis?

Laser Genesis simultaneously creates a restorative and rejuvenating skin transformation, with results that include:
1.) Permanent removal of scars – Laser Genesis has given new hope to patients who thought they would simply have to live with their scars forever.
2.) Relief from severe redness, also known as rosacea – Patients may have tried to conceal their rosacea with topical treatments and makeup, without success. 3.) Laser Genesis decreases redness, eliminates broken blood vessels, and restores even coloration to the skin.
4.) A rejuvenating boost of collagen – Laser Genesis stimulates collagen production. As we age, our skin begins to decrease its production of collagen. The lack of collagen gives our skin a lackluster, saggy, aging appearance. But Laser Genesis counteracts the aging process by promoting cell renewal within the dermis, thus reducing fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, and irregular texture. Hello youthful, radiant, skin!

How Much Does Laser Genesis Cost?

The cost of Laser Genesis varies by patient and depends on the size, severity, and number of areas you want to be treated. Doctor Gaganpreet Kaur and her experienced staff will assess your skin, make a recommendation on the number of treatments needed to achieve the desired results, and advise you on the cost of your treatment plan.

Benefits of Laser Genesis

In addition to the clinically proven results with Laser Genesis, there are many other benefits that patients appreciate with this treatment. Let’s start with the convenience. Laser Genesis is a non-invasive treatment that typically only takes about 15 to 20 minutes. There is no need for anesthesia because it is a painless procedure that only causes a gentle warming sensation. Also, there is no downtime required with this laser. Thus, the Laser Genesis treatment is ideal for busy patients who want to see results but do not have the time to take off for recovery.

It’s typically recommended to receive between 3 to 10 Laser Genesis treatments, spaced about 4 weeks apart. It’s important to keep in mind that even though the course of treatment can be several months, you don’t have to deal with the disadvantages of downtime and recovery after each treatment. Dr. Gaganpreet Kaur will be able to design a custom treatment plan for you based on your unique needs.

Lastly, Laser Genesis is designed for safe and effective treatment on all skin types and ethnicities, and can be safely used on all body parts (excluding the eye and surrounding area). This is in contrast to other lasers that come with the risk of discoloration if used on the wrong skin type.
